Job summary

Cox Machine, Inc. in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Quality Inspector to support first and final inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure conformance to engineering requirements using precision measurement tools and contribute to training and quality education across teams.

Responsibilities include AS9102 FAIs, process monitoring, and close collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to uphold the Quality Management System and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of knowledge and experience in a Quality Control/Assurance role.
• Experience using precision measurement instruments.
• Proficient at reading customer engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft assemblies for conformance to engineering requirements using a variety of precision measurement equipment to include micrometers, calipers, ohm meters, durometers and air gauges.
• Provide training, learning and development where appropriate for all employees
• Partner with other departments to ensure the adherence to the Quality Management System And Other Compliance Requirements.
• Develop, promote, and maintain collaborative team environment with fellow inspectors, support organizations and customers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and deal with internal customers
• Inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
• Provide visibility to supervision of potential quality issues, as well as input on internal perceptions associated with Quality and Delivery performance.
• Works with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance personnel to perform in process review and assure best practices are followed.
• Performs other related duties, as required
• Completes AS9102 FAIs as required
• Ensures products manufactured meet all customer requirements
• Must be able to pass an eye exam
