Location: Tucson, Arizona
Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts (Day/Night Rotation, Weekends Included)

STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Aircraft Quality Inspectors in Tucson, Arizona. This is a critical position responsible for ensuring all aircraft maintenance meets the highest regulatory and safety standards. If you’re a licensed A&P professional with CRJ airframe expertise and a strong background in inspections under FAR 145, 121, or 135—or in military environments—this role offers long-term stability and industry-respected experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed aircraft inspections in compliance with FAR 145, 121, 135, or equivalent military standards
- Conduct inspections on commercial and/or military aircraft, with a focus on CRJ airframes
- Apply knowledge of MRO and heavy maintenance operations to ensure quality and compliance
- Use and interpret a wide range of precision measurement instruments and calibrated tooling
- Read and interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
- Evaluate tolerances and part specifications using specialized gauges and measurement devices
- Understand the aircraft part fabrication process and support quality oversight of fabrication activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections and findings
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, regarding maintenance actions
- Participate in rotating 12-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of inspection experience in aircraft maintenance under FAR 145, 121, 135, or military equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required
- CRJ airframe experience is required
- MRO and heavy maintenance background required
- Proven ability to use and interpret precision measuring tools and specialty inspection equipment
- Must be able to pass vision and hearing tests
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules
