Responsibilities
- Adhere to General Work Requirements
- Perform hidden damage inspections
- Ensure all paperwork is complete and complies with engineering specifications, manufacturer’s maintenance manual, and Repair Station/Quality Control Manual prior to end-of-shift
- Perform service inspections of aircraft or components per applicable parts of chapter 14 CFR (FARs) and the manufacturer’s maintenance manual
- Assist other inspectors within your qualification area
- Perform preliminary inspections upon aircraft arrival before maintenance or inspection
- Inspect aircraft maintenance, repairs, and alterations to ensure completion
- Inspect flight control systems maintenance
- Inspect fuel panels, final floorboard installation, nose cowl closing, fuselage closing, and circuit breaker panel installation; provide “OK to Install”
- Inspect engine installation; provide “Installation OK”
- Train, coach, and mentor employees in your qualified areas
- Provide data to customers as requested
- Adhere to General Work Requirements in coordination with Quality leadership
- Perform conformity inspections of engineering documents to current design
- Weigh aircraft using pre-weight checklist
- Initiate REDs and RFEs as needed
- Research aircraft drawings and technical data
- Update maintenance manuals with revisions as necessary
Qualifications
- Typically have 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- 2 to 3 years of inspection experience
- 1 year of aircraft maintenance experience with business jets
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and manuals
- Hold an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent Repairman Certificate
- Basic knowledge of SAP
- Understanding of business aircraft inspection programs and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of Repair Station/Quality Control Manual
