Responsibilities
  • Adhere to General Work Requirements
  • Perform hidden damage inspections
  • Ensure all paperwork is complete and complies with engineering specifications, manufacturer’s maintenance manual, and Repair Station/Quality Control Manual prior to end-of-shift
  • Perform service inspections of aircraft or components per applicable parts of chapter 14 CFR (FARs) and the manufacturer’s maintenance manual
  • Assist other inspectors within your qualification area
  • Perform preliminary inspections upon aircraft arrival before maintenance or inspection
  • Inspect aircraft maintenance, repairs, and alterations to ensure completion
  • Inspect flight control systems maintenance
  • Inspect fuel panels, final floorboard installation, nose cowl closing, fuselage closing, and circuit breaker panel installation; provide “OK to Install”
  • Inspect engine installation; provide “Installation OK”
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees in your qualified areas
  • Provide data to customers as requested
  • Adhere to General Work Requirements in coordination with Quality leadership
  • Perform conformity inspections of engineering documents to current design
  • Weigh aircraft using pre-weight checklist
  • Initiate REDs and RFEs as needed
  • Research aircraft drawings and technical data
  • Update maintenance manuals with revisions as necessary
Qualifications
  • Typically have 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • 2 to 3 years of inspection experience
  • 1 year of aircraft maintenance experience with business jets
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and manuals
  • Hold an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent Repairman Certificate
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • Understanding of business aircraft inspection programs and maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of Repair Station/Quality Control Manual
