Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking a Powerplant Engineer to ensure safety, airworthiness and reliability of our fleet. You will manage engineering data, issue instructions, and coordinate with OEMs, MROs, and regulatory bodies to support safe operation.

The role involves reviewing service bulletins, ADs, NPRMs, and supporting investigations, fleet health monitoring, and maintenance program changes. A technical degree and 1-3 years of airline/MRO experience are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of Airline/OEM/MRO experience minimum.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
  • Proficiency in technical analysis and knowledge of FARs.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking.

Responsibilities

  • Project development, management, and implementation for repairs or modifications.
  • Technical point of contact for troubleshooting and support.
  • Issue instructions and documents to support safe, on-time aircraft return to service.
  • Review OEM SBs, ADs, NPRMs and initiate required engineering dispositions.
  • Monitor fleet performance and initiate corrective actions to maintain fleet health.
