Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a skilled Painter/Technician to prepare aircraft surfaces and perform painting in accordance with Airbus procedures.

You will ensure high-quality coatings, read blueprints and BOMs, and maintain accurate documentation daily. The role requires 4+ years of painting experience on metal and composite/fiberglass components, knowledge of safety protocols, and the ability to work onsite.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Some Trade School preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years of Painting and Paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass components.
• Must be able to read and work from blue prints and Bills of material (BOM) to ensure proper coatings are applied IAW Technical Data.

Responsibilities

• Paint Preparation: prepare all surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, filling, washing and removal of dents.
• Paint: mix and tint paint as required; lay out paint schemes; apply coatings; perform brush touch-up and remove overspray.
• Documentation: release and update time sheets; sign off work with description; complete tool box audit sheets daily.
