Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Appleton is seeking an Aircraft Painter II to safely prepare, paint and detail aircraft per schedule and company procedures. You will work with supervision to ensure FAA paperwork and quality specifications are met, and use tools such as sanders and paint sprayers while maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, signing off work in the tracking system, assisting aircraft movement in hangars and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in related paint processes.
• Aircraft industry experience preferred.
• Valid Drivers License required.

Responsibilities

• Safely prepare, paint and detail aircraft under minimal supervision and coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications.
• Follow SOPs when using tools and equipment such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms and paint sprayers; maintain shop equipment and tools.
• Follow SOPs when using sealants and paint strippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals and wear protective equipment as required.
• Comply with safety rules and address unsafe conditions before risking people or property.
• Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign-off work.
• Assist with aircraft movement in hangars.
• Offer continuous improvement ideas and participate in CI activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
