Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Aircraft Painter I to coat aircraft surfaces with paint, lacquer, epoxy, or resin using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and related devices. You will also remove old paint as needed and prepare surfaces.

Responsibilities include priming and painting aircraft and parts, following technical manuals and work instructions, maintaining documentation per QMS or customer requirements, and preparing materials and cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• One year aircraft painting or equivalent experience required.
• Paint experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the aircraft for paint by masking and sanding the aircraft and parts
• Primes and paints aircraft and aircraft parts
• Has general knowledge of technical manuals and painting processes
• Reads and follows work instructions
• Maintains all documentation throughout process; documentation is legible and per QMS and/or customer requirements
• Assembles materials and resources needed for the position; cleans equipment properly
• Performs other duties as assigned
