Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Painter/Coater to join the shop and perform primer and topcoat applications, color matching, and layout of paint schemes in a detail-oriented environment.

The role requires reading blueprints and instructions, operating paint booths and related tools, maintaining consumables, and adhering to safety and LEAN practices while training junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Apply primer and topcoats (finish), including other detail work.
• Touch up primer and topcoats (finish), including color matching and blending.
• Lay out paint schemes and design templates.
• Apply markings to aircraft components using various methods (e.g., stencils).
• Work from detailed blueprints, sketches, or written instructions to meet OEM specs and configurations.
• Set up and operate shop equipment including paint booth/oven controls, spray guns, paint mixers, resistivity meters, micrometers, thickness gauges, stencil makers, and related tools.
• Maintain consumables for paint dept. (primers, paints, etc.) and clean paint booths/equipment.
• Provide training to junior or lesser-skilled paint personnel.
• Identify production inefficiencies and suggest improvements; work with LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Report non-conformances and analyze issues to provide corrective actions.
