Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Painter Apprentice at our Savannah, GA location. This is a multi-year program designed to develop skills toward becoming a fully proficient aircraft painter.

The apprentice will work alongside experienced technicians to learn surface preparation, priming, and topcoat application. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and paint experience in a technical setting; the role requires passing safety tests and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Paint experience in a technical environment or trade school is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and painting of aircraft exterior surfaces.
• Apply primer and topcoat; mask windows and areas as needed.
• Assist with corrosion preventive materials and sanding/priming prep.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements; maintain tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret instructions; pass required health and safety tests.
