Boeing is seeking an Aircraft Painter for the Decorative Paint Team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This 100% onsite role requires preparing aircraft surfaces, applying primers, paints, and markings, and meeting safety standards. Shifts are variable; relocation is possible and visas are not sponsored. Applications close Jan 12, 2027.

Expected to work with hazardous chemicals on the exterior of aircraft and maintain strict safety practices in a high-stakes production environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting.
• Ability to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks.
• Ability to walk, stand, climb, bend and twist for extended periods.
• Ability to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds.
• Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.

Position Responsibilities

Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting. Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft. Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections. This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC). This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Availability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training. 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting. Required to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks. Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel. Ability to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds. Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ year aircraft painting experience or automotive.

Shift

This position is for variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at the time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.

Summary Pay Range: Summary pay range level B: $55,680 - $64,000 Summary pay range level C: $65,280 - $67,320.
