Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Painter I in Huntsville, AL to coat aircraft surfaces with paint, lacquer, epoxy or other materials, using brushes, rollers and spray guns. The role requires masking, sanding and preparing the aircraft prior to painting.

You will follow work instructions, maintain documentation per QMS and customer requirements, and ensure proper cleanup of equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year aircraft painting or equivalent experience is required.
• Paint experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the aircraft for paint by masking and sanding the aircraft and parts.
• Primes and paints aircraft and aircraft parts.
• Has general knowledge of technical manuals and painting processes.
• Reads and follows work instructions.
• Maintains all documentation throughout process; documentation is legible and per QMS and/or customer requirements.
• Assembles materials and resources needed for the position; cleans equipment properly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

An Aircraft Painter I coats the surfaces of an aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices. The aircraft painter removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper.

• Prepares the aircraft for paint by masking and sanding the aircraft and parts
• Primes and paints aircraft and aircraft parts

• Reads and follows work instructions
• Maintains all documentation throughout process; documentation is legible and per QMS and/or customer requirements

Qualifications

Experience:
