Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Paint Technician for DAS Aviation in Solon, OH. You will prepare and refinish aircraft surfaces, mix paints, apply basecoat and clearcoat, and ensure color accuracy per PDS sheets. Strong attention to safety and FAA guidelines is required, with ability to travel to hangars as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced knowledge of aircraft refinishing and understanding PDS Sheets.
• Ability to comply with paint procedures and techniques.
• Experience with color matching and paint mixing processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply PDS sheets and mix material ratios.
• Spray Single Stage, Basecoat, Clearcoat, Primer, Anti-static and Sealers.
• Set up and operate spray gun with correct adjustments for materials.
• Pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation.
• Maintain and clean shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Travel to customer hangars to perform paint work as needed.
