Job summary

West Star Aviation, a leading MRO provider with locations nationwide, seeks a Paint Technician to apply and finish aircraft paint, maintain paint booths, and ensure quality standards. The role involves detailed masking, surface prep, color matching and applying top coats in a busy hangar environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in aviation painting is a plus. A valid driver’s license and OSSO-friendly travel may be needed; training and safety compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vo-tech in paint preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for airline work.
• Experience in aviation or vehicle painting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray.
• Sanding primer and prepping surfaces for paint.
• Applying all layers of paint, including top coat, per design.
• Laying out stripe and design schemes; paint matching.
• Inspect completed paint jobs; communicate findings clearly.
• Follow FAA guidelines and safety rules at all times.
