Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Paint Technician to join our Chattanooga, TN team. This full-time, on-site role involves hands-on painting, masking, sanding, and finishing aircraft surfaces, with emphasis on quality and safety.

You will work in a fast-paced shop environment, delivering precise color matches and durable top coats. You’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent, with aviation painting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational paint training preferred.
• Aviation paint experience is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel; passport ideal.

Responsibilities

• Mask aircraft parts to prevent overspray and ensure clean lines.
• Sand primer and prep surfaces for paint application.
• Apply multiple layers of paint including top coat with quality control.
• Inspect finished paint jobs and maintain a clean paint booth.
• Mix and match paint colors to spec and communicate in English clearly.
• Follow safety rules and assist with other paint-related duties as needed.
