Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Ordnance Technician to inspect ammunition, test aircraft systems, perform preventive maintenance and load arming/firing systems. The role includes loading and arming aircraft, maintaining ordnance equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and Navy/NALCOMIS procedures.

The candidate will typically have 4+ years in ordnance/aircraft maintenance, knowledge of NAMP/NALCOMIS, and willingness to perform off-site service and security clearances as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair required.
• Four years actual and recent experience with the serviced aircraft.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Responsabilités

• Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on ordnance and armament systems.
• Maintains and repairs aircraft armament weapons systems and related equipment.
• Loads and unloads airborne weapons and conducts testing of release and control systems.
• Configures aircraft for carriage of ammunition by installing/removing racks and components.
• Identifies munitions types, hazards and emergency procedures.
• Transport explosives and conduct ammunition inventories.
• Comply with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 and use NAMP/NALCOMIS.
