Job summary

Air National Guard Units in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking an Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic (WG-6652-11) for a permanent Title 32 dual-status position. The role involves troubleshooting, repair, installation, and testing of aircraft ordnance systems across modern fighter aircraft.

Responsibilities include on/off-equipment work on weapons systems, verification of malfunctions, and safe handling of conventional munitions.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, test and adjust aircraft ordnance systems, equipment and components.
• On and/or off-equipment inspection, modification, overhaul, troubleshooting and repair capability of weapons release and gun systems.
• Verifies and analyzes malfunctions, troubleshoots, tests, inspects and loads/unloads conventional munitions.
• Installs/removes weapons delivery equipment, launchers and gun systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair ordnance systems for F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35 and A-10 aircraft.
• Perform on- and off-equipment work on weapons delivery equipment and gun systems.
• Verify malfunctions and perform tests and inspections of ordnance components.
• Load/unload conventional munitions and maintain weapon systems.
