Qualifications

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, test and adjust aircraft ordnance systems, equipment and components.
• On and/or off-equipment inspection, modification, overhaul, troubleshooting and repair capability of weapons release and gun systems.
• Verifies and analyzes malfunctions, troubleshoots, tests, inspects and loads/unloads conventional munitions.
• Installs/removes weapons delivery equipment, launchers and gun systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair ordnance systems for F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35 and A-10 aircraft.
• Perform on- and off-equipment work on weapons delivery equipment and gun systems.

AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC (Title 32)

This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC, Position Description Number NGD1736P01 and is part of 114 AMX SQ. This is a Permanent, Title 32, Dual-Status position. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: - All members of the South Dakota Air National Guard and those eligible to join.

Key Responsibilities

As an AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-6652-11, you will: This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Aircraft Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Weapons Element (Flight Line). This PD is applicable for the F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35 and A-10 aircraft only. The primary purpose of the position is to troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, test and adjust aircraft ordnance systems, equipment and components.
