Job summary

The role sits onsite in Waco, TX, reporting to the Senior Manager of Aerospace Engineering, and emphasizes technical excellence, project execution, and process improvement. Responsibilities include staffing, design oversight, and ensuring compliance with military and commercial standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with 9+ years of design experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Minimum 4 years in aircraft structure design and modifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Mechanical Engineering team.
• Oversee design and integration for aircraft upgrades and structural components.
• Ensure high-quality CAD designs and design reviews meet standards.
• Provide technical oversight on layouts, modifications, and liaison work.
• Manage resource planning, workload forecasting and staffing.
• Monitor status, support bids, and align with cost and schedule targets.
