Qualifications

TSC's Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) Division is actively recruiting an expert Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team in support of Flight & Ground Operations of a developmental aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation mechanics, in both manned and unmanned aircraft systems, possess an acute attention to detail, as well as exceptional troubleshooting/problem solving skills to support the aircraft from development through operational phases.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manned and unmanned aircraft systems and components, ensuring that all aircraft are mission-ready and meet applicable legal, contractual and safety performance standards.

Ground & Flight Operations will be conducted at various test sites, with the primary location being Fort Huachuca, AZ (Sierra Vista). This position reports to the Test & Training Site Lead and is responsible for developing and managing aviation Ground & Flight Operation Procedures, including maintenance manuals, training programs, and technology insertion.

Other duties may be assigned as an integral member of the Aviation Operations leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on aircraft systems.
  2. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts.
  3. Support development and testing of new technologies.
  4. Conduct inspections in compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  5. Assist in aircraft assembly/disassembly for tests and missions.
  6. Maintain accurate logs and documentation.
  7. Collaborate with engineering on technical issues.
  8. Ensure tools and equipment are in proper condition.
  9. Support pre-flight and post-flight procedures.
  10. Manage safe daily operations and documentation.
  11. Support audits, performance reviews, and technical reports.
  12. Maintain access to and requirements for COMSEC.
  13. Track consumables and record failures.
  14. Monitor parts and tools inventory.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of aircraft systems and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with FAA standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Technical inspector experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Adherence to safety and FOD control programs.
  • Knowledge of aviation procedures, manuals, and compliance standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, technical writing, and digital logging.
Qualifications:
  • FAA A&P certification with 7 years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • At least 3 years of UAS maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Leadership experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and read schematics.
  • Active SECRET security clearance and FAA Class 3 Medical.
  • Willingness to travel and deploy as needed.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Physical and Medical Requirements:
  • Work in austere environments and extreme weather conditions.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Good vision and hearing are required.
  • Annual FAA class 3 physical and compliance with MOD 15 standards.

  • Drug screening required.
  • Less than 25% travel expected.
