THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2390000, and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by the Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 110.
As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, WG-8852-12, you will manage, monitor, or perform overall maintenance within the CAMP and FAA framework, servicing, inspections, and documentation for one or more highly technical, high-performance UH-72A military aircraft. You will request maintenance services exceeding AASF capabilities or time constraints, control and perform work assignments based on priorities, workload, availability of UH-72A parts, facilities, materials, and personnel. Maintain UH-72A aircraft under FAA and manufacturer guidelines and conduct inspections IAW OEM maintenance publications and special inspection criteria as outlined in FAA, OEM, and Army maintenance and safety messages. Plan, develop, and conduct proficiency training during the technician work week for a workforce comprised of Full Time Support (FTS) and supported unit personnel. Ensure compliance with safety, fire, security, environmental, and housekeeping regulations. May participate in operational flights as a crewmember. Perform other duties as assigned.
Military Grades: E-4 through E-6
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training that provides the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18 months of experience or training equivalent to or exceeding the WG-10 or WU-10 grade level. Positions at this grade may include duties as a dedicated crew chief, overseeing work and inspections on aircraft, coordinating work among multiple mechanics or trades, or serving as a technical authority on repairs of the aircraft.
