Air National Guard Units in Kentucky seeks an Aircraft Mechanic (Title 32) WG-8852-10 at KY 123 AW. Responsabilités

• Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft including periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, postflight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections.
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on aircraft.
• Adjust and align aircraft systems or components; remove and replace aircraft parts; service oil, fluids, hydraulics, and oxygen systems.
• Perform operator maintenance on installed auxiliary power units; debrief aircrew; provide data for maintenance records and man-hour accounting.
• Instruct and supervise drill status guard members; ensure safety, fire, security, and housekeeping standards.

***NOTE: This is a DUAL announcement with AGR27-011. Only one candidate will be selected for this vacancy.*** THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1366000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard.

Key Responsibilities

As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - TITLE 32, WG-8852-10, you will perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, postflight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections. Troubleshoot and perform maintenance aircraft. Perform adjustments and alignments of aircraft systems or components. Remove and replace aircraft components. Service oil, fluid, fuel, hydraulic, and oxygen systems.

Perform operator maintenance on aircraft installed auxiliary power units. Meet and debrief the aircrew on the status of the aircraft. Provide data for aircraft maintenance historical records, complete maintenance data collection, man-hour accounting, and other forms. Instruct, direct, assign and observe maintenance repair tasks to drill status guard members. Comply with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations.

Ensure that material and equipment are properly stored, protected, maintained and secured. Prepare for and participate in readiness evaluations, inspections, and mobility and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned.
