Job summary

W3Global is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support T-6 and T-38 aircraft with limited supervision. You will read schematics and manuals, test and replace components, and perform servicing and inspections in a disciplined maintenance environment.

The role requires hands-on use of tools, adherence to safety programs, and accurate record-keeping. You will coordinate with senior staff and travel within the maintenance workflow to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

  • 18 months of general aircraft maintenance experience required.
  • 1 year experience on applicable aircraft within last 3 years or completion of a familiarization course.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical data.

Responsibilities

  • Uses diagrams, drawings, charts and manuals to operate, test, remove, troubleshoot and replace aircraft system components including engines.
  • Complies with FOD, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs.
  • Performs aircraft conditional inspections and servicing tasks.
  • Operates ground support equipment and documents discrepancies prior to use.
  • Performs ground movement of aircraft and completes maintenance records as directed.
  • Orders parts and supplies as needed and follows maintenance directives.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Uses schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications in operating, testing, removing, troubleshooting, and replacing aircraft system components to include removing and installing engines as required.
  • Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs.
  • Performs aircraft conditional inspections.
  • Performs all required aircraft servicing tasks.
  • Operates ground support equipment and documents/reports discrepancies prior to use.
  • Performs all tasks associated with ground movement of aircraft.
  • Completes all necessary manual and automated records required by USAF and Company directives.
  • Orders parts and supplies as needed.
  • Follows technical data, manuals, regulations, and other maintenance directives as required.
  • Participates in towing and movement of aircraft in performing maintenance activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Classification Qualifications
Knowledge

A working knowledge of jet aircraft systems and of the use of common aircraft hand tools and special tools is required. A working knowledge of aircraft maintenance safety requirements and the operation of portable fire fighting equipment are required.

Education

Completion of high school or equivalent is required. Completion of specialized courses is desired. The ability to read and write and to comprehend technical data is required.

Experience

Eighteen (18) months of general aircraft maintenance experience is required. One (1) year experience in the past three (3) calendar years on applicable aircraft or completion of a specific aircraft familiarization course is required.

Special Conditions

For personnel working in fuel cell maintenance, a physical is required. Must be able to enter the smallest cell opening, must be able to become qualified and use a respirator. Must be able to lift a minimum weight of 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time, and have the ability to climb ladders and stairs. Normal color vision is required. Possession of a valid driver's license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privileges.
