Job summary

Tradewind Aviation is seeking a Level 2 A&P Aircraft Mechanic to support maintenance at our Northeast bases in Oxford, CT or White Plains, NY. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and overhaul engines and airframe components to keep flights on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a licensed A&P, strong manual-reading skills, clear communication, and the ability to travel across the United States, Caribbean, and Canada for training or repairs. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensed A&P technician with 5+ years of progressively complex experience.
• Ability to diagnose, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Pilatus PC-12, NGX, and newer models.
• Proficient reading and applying technical manuals and instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform airframe and powerplant maintenance on turboprop aircraft to ensure reliability and on-time completion.
• Read, interpret, and apply technical manuals; troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect aircraft; replace worn or defective parts; maintain logs per FAA regs.
• Travel as required for training, repairs, or other business needs; work weekends/holidays as needed.

The A&P Mechanic will use their troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical skills to maintain, inspect, and overhaul aircraft engines, complex systems, and structural airframe components. The ideal A&P Aircraft Mechanic is detail-oriented, has strong and diverse troubleshooting and mechanical skills, is always safety-conscious, and enjoys continuously learning and improving their skills as well as sharing their knowledge with others.
