As a Fabrication & Structures Mechanic, you’ll work at the leading edge of aircraft development, shaping prototypes that lay the foundation for future air dominance.

What You Will Be Doing:

In this hands-on role, you’ll support the development of prototype structures for advanced aircraft. You’ll take raw materials and bring them to life—translating engineering vision into tangible products. Your work will include:

· Developing and fabricating parts from raw stock for use in prototype airframe structures.

· Performing layout, assembly, installation, and mating operations for new and modified structural components.

· Incorporating major revisions into existing prototype designs and structures.

· Collaborating with engineers and liaison personnel to provide feedback and suggest design modifications that improve functionality, manufacturability, or installation efficiency.

· Projecting and determining coordination points from loft data to ensure precise part mating and system integration.

· Working from general configurations, sketches, and preliminary designs to build and validate structures that meet engineering intent.

· Supporting initial production runs by instructing and guiding production teams on fabrication, installation, and structural best practices.

· Performing tasks across multiple disciplines, including fitting, assembly, static testing, and shop aid improvisation when required.

Desired skills
