Job summary

Tyonek Native Corp seeks an experienced maintenance technician to support daily repair and manufacturing operations on military aircraft at Robins AFB. The role involves servicing major aircraft systems, testing components, and ensuring readiness for flight checks.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of verifiable aircraft maintenance experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance within nine months. A background check and drug testing are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of verifiable experience in aircraft maintenance.
• US citizenship and ability to pass background check required.
• Secret clearance within nine months preferred.
• Must meet security and vaccination requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and test major aircraft systems and assemblies.
• Perform flight line maintenance including functional testing and repair of airframe systems.
• Carry out post-assembly checkout and repairs to prepare for test flights.
• Identify malfunctions and determine corrective actions.
• Perform engine removal/installation, jacking, leveling, and related tasks.
• Read cockpit instrument data, interpret gauges, and report findings.
• Initiate requisitions for parts and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Description

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.

Duties

• Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components
• Perform flight line maintenance of aircraft including functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing all airframe mechanical systems their assemblies and components such as flight control systems, airframe, landing gear, engines, etc.
• Perform post assembly checkout, adjustment, and repair of overhauled and modified aircraft to prepare for and correct deficiencies found on functional check flights.
• Identify malfunctions and determines corrective action required
• Performs engine removal and installation, jacking, leveling, and other routine tasks
• Read and understand data and settings from cockpit instrumentation and gauges
• Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least two years of recent verifiable experience
• Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats, nuclear shielding or similar self-contained systems
• Experience using standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources
• Skill in reading and understanding data and settings for cockpit instruments and gauges
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine (9) months of employee's start date.
• This position falls under Executive Order 14042, and may require fully vaccinated status.
