Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Electrical Technician to support daily repair and manufacturing operations for military aircraft. The role covers troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of complex electrical systems, with final testing and replacement of defective components as needed.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of verifiable experience, be a US citizen, and be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine months.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of verifiable, recent experience.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance within nine months.
  • Must pass background check and comply with vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair complex aircraft electrical systems and components.
  • Perform final functional and operational testing of these systems.
  • Replace defective controls units, relay boards, or servo units.
  • Set up and operate computerized test equipment to test circuitry and cabling.
  • Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring configurations.
  • Set up and operate automated test equipment (ATE).
  • Other duties as assigned.

General Description

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.

Duties
  • Troubleshoot, modify calibrate and repair of complex aircraft electrical systems and equipment such as electrical power control and distribution systems, lighting systems, refueling and fuel quantity indicating systems, etc.
  • Perform final functional and operational testing of these systems.
  • Replace defective controls units, relay boards, servo units, or other components
  • Set up and operate computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment to test and analyze circuitry and interconnected cabling of systems
  • Interpret and apply a variety of technical information such as technical orders, repair manuals, schematics, etc concerning wire codes, wiring configuration and testing procedures.
  • Set-up and operate computer controlled automated test equipment (ATE)
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least two years of recent verifiable experience
  • Knowledge of operating electrical principles
  • Knowledge of interface of electrical systems with hydraulic, electronic armament, instrument, and mechanical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical test units, meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Experience in reading schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine (9) months of employee's start date.
  • This position falls under Executive Order 14042, and may require fully vaccinated status.

  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
