Air National Guard Units is seeking a technically proficient aircraft maintenance professional for a permanent, Monday–Friday role with no telework preferred. The incumbent will replace aircraft parts and assemblies, supervise peers, and ensure maintenance actions follow specifications and schedules.

The position requires compatible military assignments and a valid driver's license, with rigid requirements and a selected official overseeing the process. Telework is generally not available.

Qualifications

• Must possess experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications.
• Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.
• Ability to instruct lower graded mechanics and coordinate maintenance to ensure timely actions.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows:

• Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS.
• Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
• Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
• Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

MILITARY GRADE Min: E-6/TSgt Max: E-7/MSgt Enlisted applicant's military grade cannot exceed the maximum military grade authorized.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications.
• Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

• Must possess experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification.
• Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow.
• Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container.
• In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series.
• Must have the ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment.
• The ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series.

NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS

Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS

• Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2A571, Airlift/Special Mission Aircraft Maintenance.
• Enlisted 2A5X1 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "47" on the Mechanical portion of the ASVAB.
• Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333132.
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs. unassisted.

DRIVER'S LICENSE

Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
