ACET, Incorporated is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III - Site Lead at Mountain Home AFB to direct onsite maintenance operations, supervise mechanics, and provide critical technical guidance across airframes. The role requires DoD security clearance eligibility, strong leadership, and expert knowledge of aircraft systems.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Proven track record of managing hangar-floor operations and leading mechanical crews in a military depot or commercial aviation setting.
• Expert knowledge of aircraft mechanical components, troubleshooting, sheet metal structures, and non‑complex electrical systems.
• Qualified to act as the definitive inspector over lower-level and peer mechanics (Tiers I–III).
• Forecasts project needs, adapts to schedule shifts, and maintains high standards under delivery pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication to deliver technical briefs to engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and supervise multidisciplinary teams through maintenance, inspections, and modifications.
• Act as primary certifying inspector with sign-off authority on actions by mechanics.
• Diagnose and modify aircraft structures, components, and engines with complex-to-extreme technical difficulty.

• Serve as chief onsite liaison to engineers, military officials, and clients.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Aircraft Mechanic III - Site Lead to direct onsite aircraft maintenance operations, inspections, and fleet schedules.

In this senior role, you will manage day-to-day hangar-floor operations, supervise subordinate mechanics, and provide critical technical guidance across all supported airframes.

You must possess the comprehensive technical background necessary to perform, supervise, and exercise final inspection authority over the work of Mechanic I, II, and III personnel.

Combining mastery of complex-to-extreme airframe structures and powerplant systems with high-level production oversight, you will optimize site workflows to satisfy strict engineering standards and meet delivery timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, schedule, and supervise multidisciplinary teams of mechanics through complex scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and modifications.
• Act as the primary certifying inspector, with full oversight and sign-off authority on maintenance actions executed by Mechanic I, II, and III team members.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and execute modifications on aircraft structures, components, and engines exhibiting complex-to-extreme technical difficulty.
• Apply exceptional organizational skills to prioritize fluid workflows, manage onsite assets, and systematically meet rigorous aircraft delivery schedules.
• Serve as the chief onsite liaison providing professional technical support to structural/mechanical engineers, military officials, and corporate clients alike.
• Resolve highly complex mechanical, structural, and sheet metal anomalies by interpreting advanced engineering blueprints, technical manuals, and data sheets.
• Operate and train crews on the precise use of specialized aircraft tools, including test equipment, cable tensiometers, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
• Ensure strict compliance with all governing safety protocols and personally make official entries in aircraft logs and official maintenance records.

Qualifications:

• Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
• Proven track record of managing hangar-floor operations and leading mechanical crews in a high-stakes military depot or commercial aviation setting.
• Comprehensive, expert-level knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, sheet metal structures, and non-complex electrical system functionality.
• Prior qualification to act as a definitive inspector over lower-level and peer mechanics (Tiers I–III).
• Strong capability to forecast project needs, adapt to shifting schedule demands, and maintain high standards under strict delivery pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver technical briefs to engineers, project stakeholders, and floor personnel.
