Job summary

Kay & Associates, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III [Safe for Flight] to support MV-22 maintenance at Kaneohe Bay, HI. This full-time, onsite role focuses on Safe for Flight, complex maintenance, inspections and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of airframe/powerplant/avionics experience with MV-22 exposure; must be able to work various shifts and meet certification requirements. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, holidays and PTO under the union contract.

Qualifications

• 7+ years airframe, avionics, or powerplant aviation maintenance experience.
• 5+ years MV-22 or similar aircraft maintenance experience.
• Must be able to work day, swing, mid, or weekend shift as required.
• Former CDQAR preferred.
• Former Safe for Flight preferred, must be Safe for Flight within 90 days of start.
• Must meet qualification requirements in accordance with PWS timelines.

Responsibilities

• Shall be able to release aircraft safe for flight.
• Perform general aircraft maintenance on MV-22 series aircraft.
• Maintain documentation in logs and approved systems per NAMP.
• Lead and provide guidance to lower-level mechanics.
• Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety and quality programs.
• Perform and inspect airframe, flight control, hydraulic, pneumatic and landing gear systems.

Summary

Provides support of Organizational-level aircraft maintenance and Corrosion Abatement on MV-22 series aircraft in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.

Senior-level aircraft mechanic supporting contract maintenance on MV-22 series aircraft.

Essential Functions

• Perform Safe for Flight for MV-22 aircraft
• Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification
• Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems
• Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics
• Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs

• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and directives
• Document maintenance actions per NAMP requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 7+ years airframe, avionics, or powerplant aviation maintenance experience
• 5+ years MV-22 or similar aircraft maintenance experience
• Must be able to work day, swing, mid, or weekend shift as required
• Former CDQAR preferred
• Former Safe for Flight preferred, must be Safe for Flight within 90 days of start
• Must meet qualification requirements in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) timelines

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Compensation

• $48.25 - $51.67/hour + H&W IAW CBA
