Job description

ARS is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to work in Salt Lake City, UT. Join our team of professionals by applying today!


Responsibilities

  • Serve as project or team lead
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulics, engines, auxiliary power units, ventilation, and heating systems
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures
  • Read and interpret manufacturer and technical manuals
  • Perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance
  • Jack and tow aircraft as needed
  • Accurately log all maintenance activities
  • Utilize Army experience in rotary wing flight line and organizational/intermediate level maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Own and maintain personal tools and toolbox
Qualifications
  • Ability to walk and stand on various surfaces throughout the day
  • Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands
  • Capable of crouching, crawling, grasping, bending, reaching, and handling objects
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if required
  • Good vision for reading gauges, identifying small objects, and inspecting aircraft
  • Ability to communicate verbally and hear effectively
  • Ability to distinguish colors and judge depth perception
  • Experience operating power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of four years' aircraft maintenance experience; ten years preferred
  • MOS 15R graduate or equivalent training required
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace with post-offer substance abuse testing
