Aircraft Mechanic III (Flight) - Eustis TDD

Position Overview

Tyonek Services Group provides field maintenance, including phase maintenance and special inspections, limited sustainment level repair, aviation maintenance management, embedded support to the TDD-A/SID's Flight Test Division, prototype development, and aircraft modifications and upgrades.

Responsibilities
  • Perform crew chief, mechanic, and flight duties on all assigned aircraft.
  • Service and maintain aircraft as required.
  • Use Aircraft Notebook (ACN) to document logbook actions and initiate work orders.
  • Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues across various aircraft systems.
  • Provide technical guidance by interpreting technical data such as blueprints and manuals.
  • Utilize special tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Support structural and mechanical engineering teams and special projects.
  • Safely operate and maintain Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE).
  • Remove, inspect, repair, modify, and install aircraft components per Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC).
  • Maintain organizational efficiency in stock replenishment and maintenance services.
  • Support flight operations with ground support activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably with recent work on classified research and development projects.
  • Experience with various aircraft make-models is desirable.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred.
  • Qualified for night flights using NVGs is preferred.
  • Ability to pass FAA Class III flight physical annually.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb, crouch, crawl, and handle objects.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Good vision, hearing, and color distinction.
  • Operate power vehicles and ground support equipment.
