A leading company is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to perform quality assurance for F-18 aircraft. This role involves inspecting mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, along with the diagnosis and repair of aircraft engines. Applicants should have extensive experience in naval aviation and possess a U.S. Secret Clearance.
The Aircraft Mechanic III – F-18 Quality Assurance Representative, shall perform O-Level quality assurance on assigned aircraft. Works from blueprints, maintenance manuals, quality control procedures, quality instructions, contractor standard specifications, Naval inspection manual/cards and military technical directives. Inspects aircraft mechanical, electrical and electronic systems assemblies and engines using general and special test equipment.
Monitors all required inspections of maintenance procedures and systems checkouts and is authorized to inspect safety of flight related maintenance actions. Performs as liaison with Government quality verification personnel. Comply with all current sections of NAVAIRINST 3710.1 (series) and CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) as applicable to Aircraft Maintenance, and a thorough knowledge of flight line operations. Maintains required logs and records. Ensures work area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner and that all safety rules and regulations are observed. Works with other groups or personnel to resolve problems. Quality Assurance Inspectors will instruct and assist in training of lower-level employees in proper work methods and performance of their job duties. Performs related duties as assigned, including all duties of lower rated technical personnel within their classification. Assists other shops/skills as required.
