Job description

The purpose of this Performance Work Statement (PWS) is to define the requirements for aircraft maintenance functions of the Organizational Level (O-Level) maintenance support. The Contractor shall provide personnel who meet equivalent Department of Labor Skill Classification standards for designated occupations and trade skills, in performance of the required functions necessary to maintain, inspect, perform pre- and post- flights efforts on Navy C-2A aircraft and associated support equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Repair engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty.
  2. Provide input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC) and Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD).
  3. Assist in the recommendation of changes to (MWO).
  4. Prioritize workloads and lead teams through complex aircraft relevant tasks.
  5. Inspect Mechanic IIs and Is.
  6. Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
  7. Maintain and repair aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
  8. Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions.
  9. Restore equipment condition and operation.
  10. Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals.
  11. Make entries in aircraft logs and records as required.

The incumbent will receive technical guidance from supervisors or higher-level technicians as needed.
