Aircraft Mechanic III (Aircraft Electrical/Environmental Mechanic) (Finance)

TASK DESCRIPTION:

Aircraft Mechanic III (23023): Leads a team in aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. Provides technical guidance and supervises subordinate mechanics. Performs repairs and modifications on aircraft structures, engines, and components, including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical parts. Applies expertise in troubleshooting, interpreting technical data, and ensuring maintenance standards are met. Maintains accurate logs and records, and guides lower-level technicians during modifications and maintenance tasks.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to troubleshoot various aircraft systems.
  • Experience with Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot Level maintenance.
  • Knowledge of technical directives, maintenance programs, and supply procedures.
  • Strong written communication skills and leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency with maintenance manuals, records, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance safety protocols.
Responsibilities:

Perform diagnosis, repairs, modifications, and inspections following established procedures. Verify work quality, manage parts and tools, and ensure compliance with technical data. Support aircraft operations and maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and record keeping. Assist in managing the Cannibalization Program and other maintenance tasks as assigned.

Task Requirements:
  • Support B-1 aircraft systems with inspections and repairs.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including troubleshooting and component replacement.
  • Support aircraft modifications, corrosion control, and operational support services.
  • Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and perform confined space operations.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of work environments.
  • Requisition parts and materials as needed.
Qualifications:

Preferred: 10+ years of maintenance experience, previous certification as Aircraft Safe for Flight, experience with aircraft record keeping, and advanced corrosion control training.

Basic: 5+ years of B-1 maintenance, ability to work various shifts, physical ability to climb and handle tools, eligibility for security clearance, and possession of a CAC card.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate: $41.47/hour

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k plan, PTO, and paid holidays. Employment contingent on background checks, drug screening, and security clearance.
