Job description

Join to apply for the Aircraft Mechanic II - MH-6 role at NANA.

Candidate serves as the SOATB MH-6 team lead assisting the MH-6 aircraft maintenance supervisor. Assists with daily scheduling and task assignment to support operations at home station and TDY locations. Backfills the maintenance supervisor in their absence.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor maintenance activities and ensure that the daily flight schedule requirements are met.
  • Receive technical guidance from the aircraft maintenance supervisor and lead teams through complex aircraft maintenance tasks as required.
  • Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
  • Assist in planning for TDY trip support and logistical assistance from home station.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Work on aircraft as needed.
  • Serve as a TDY road lead as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 6 years of rotary wing maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in the MH-6 MDS.
  • Thorough knowledge of MH-6 aircraft mechanical troubleshooting and repair, sheet metal/structural modifications, electrical, and avionics procedures.
  • Knowledge of aircraft tools, special tools, and test equipment.
  • Familiarity with technical publications, ACN, and Hydra applications.
  • Own tools/toolbox required.
  • Ability to complete 1-2 week TDY trips away from home station.
  • Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a basic physical to operate equipment and work on the flight line.
