Candidate serves as the SOATB MH-6 team lead assisting the MH-6 aircraft maintenance supervisor. Assists with the daily scheduling and assigning of tasks in support of operations at home station and TDY locations. Backfills the maintenance supervisor in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • This AM2 will monitor maintenance activities and ensure that the daily flight schedule requirements are met.
  • Receives technical guidance from the aircraft maintenance supervisor and may be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
  • Assists in planning for TDY trip support and providing logistical assistance from home station.
  • Provides technical guidance to team.
  • Will be required to work on aircraft as needed.
  • Will serve as a TDY road lead as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 6 years of rotary wing maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in the MH-6 MDS.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of MH-6 aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair procedures. General knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair. General knowledge of electrical and avionics procedures and operations.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools, special tools, and test equipment.
  • Must have working knowledge of technical publications and must be familiar with ACN and Hydra applications.
  • Must have own tools/toolbox.
  • Must be able to complete TDY trips of 1-2 weeks away from home sation.
  • Must have good leadership skills, to include strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment and operate on the flight line.
