Job description

The Flight Line Mechanic will provide Contract Maintenance Support (CMS) as an integrated part of the Flight Line/Phase Maintenance Division’s maintenance effort to support the unit’s flight hour/training goals.

General:
  1. Possess a minimum of five (5) years of aviation experience, including at least two (2) years of V-22 experience (U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 6116/76).
  2. Utilize appropriate technical publications, including Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM), Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs), and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), for all maintenance actions.
  3. Read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical data.
  4. Identify and properly utilize common tools, calibrated equipment, and support tools in maintenance procedures.
  5. Operate support equipment following established procedures for flight line maintenance.
  6. Observe safety precautions around aircraft and workspaces.
  7. Work on a government installation, requiring security clearance for access.
Essential Functions:
  1. Communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors, team leaders, and coworkers.
  2. Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect aircraft power plants, drive, and rotor systems, including removal, repair, replacement, and installation of components such as engines, PRGB/TAGB, Rotor Hubs, Fuel systems, and component rigging.
  3. Perform scheduled, unscheduled, special, and phase maintenance inspections as directed via MRC decks.
  4. Conduct daily, pre-flight, and turnaround inspections, along with other Plane Captain duties.
  5. Perform hot and cold refueling of aircraft.
  6. Research, interpret, and comply with Technical Directive (TD) requirements for aircraft and components.
  7. Candidates should aim to gain experience sufficient to qualify as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR).
