General Description
This position involves depot level maintenance on various aircraft, including but not limited to AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8, T-34, F-35, and V-22. Military intermediate level experience is a plus.
DUTIES
- Review blueprints, schematics, and safety procedures, complying with engineering specifications and maintenance instructions using NDMS CONOPS systems.
- Disassemble, repair, rework, and overhaul components such as tire/wheel assemblies, brake systems, landing gear, shock absorbers, arresting gear, including tail hooks and launch bars.
- Repair engine mounts, wing support structures, and various aircraft mechanisms.
- Rig, adjust, and calibrate aircraft slings and support equipment across all aircraft platforms.
- Assist engineers with component discrepancies and investigations.
- Perform final testing and certification of assemblies using hydraulic test benches and support equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A&P license is not required but a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of aircraft mechanic experience.
- Experience with E-2 aircraft is preferred.
- Experience from military fixed-wing community or civilian heavy structure background preferred.
- Experience in heavy structure U.S. Military or FAA/civil aviation.
- Must have military, intermediate, and/or depot level maintenance experience.
- Must provide own tools as required.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
- Up to 25% travel may be required.
- We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
Physical and Functional Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, crawl, kneel, and bend on various surfaces.
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, work stands.
- Capable of crouching, grasping, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, and handling objects.
- May need to lift and carry up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to see aircraft in flight, read gauges, identify small objects and tools.
- Ability to perceive colors, shades, and judge depth.
- Ability to operate power vehicles and ground support equipment.
Environmental Factors
- Work may be inside or outside around machinery, vehicles, ladders, scaffolds.
- Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, fumes, and other environmental conditions.
- Work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
- May require working alone or with others, with irregular hours as needed.

Salary: $45.67 - $45.68 per hour
