A leading company specializing in aviation services is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician responsible for maintenance and inspection of CH-47 aircraft. Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on CH-47 aircraft, ensuring operational readiness and safety. This position plays a critical role in supporting flight operations and requires a strong technical skill set in helicopter systems, components, and safety procedures. This position may require up to 25% travel.

DUTIES

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on CH-47 aircraft.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on all aircraft systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and pre-flight/post-flight inspections in support of flight operations.
  • Maintain records and maintenance actions in accordance with service guidance.
  • Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment in support of maintenance operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a military aircraft repairer school for CH-47 aircraft.
  • FAA A&P license is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft maintenance on rotary wing aircraft.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.

  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
