Yulista Contract Services LLC is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic II APG Crew Chief with a Security Clearance.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The T-38 Aircraft Maintenance Technician maintains all aspects of the T-38 aircraft, support equipment, and forms and records. This role performs crew chief, repair and reclamation, quality assurance, maintenance support functions, sortie generation, ground handling, and servicing operations. Responsibilities include performing aircraft inspections such as preflight, thru-flight, postflight, hourly postflight, special inspections, and isochronal inspections. The technician will advise on problems, maintenance, servicing, and inspection of aircraft and related aerospace equipment, utilizing technical data to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft structures, engines, hydraulic, and other related systems, components, and equipment.
  2. Assist in launching and recovering aircraft.
  3. Remove and install T-38 aircraft assemblies, engines, and engine components.
  4. Conduct operational checks and repair or replace damaged components and systems.
  5. Perform ground engine operations for T-38.
  6. Adjust, align, and rig aircraft systems.
  7. Handle aircraft weight and balance functions.
  8. Perform T-38 aircraft jacking, lifting, mooring, and towing operations.
  9. Interpret inspection findings and determine corrective actions.
  10. Inspect and check components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.
  11. Identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair.
  12. Review maintenance data to identify trends and improve efficiency.
  13. Perform crash recovery duties.
  14. Ensure complete documentation of maintenance activities.
  15. Operate aerospace ground equipment and perform pre-use inspections.
  16. Inventory and maintain aircraft mission and equipment.
  17. Perform duties in confined spaces if required.
  18. Recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures.
  19. Use automated maintenance systems for data entry, validation, analysis, and documentation.
  20. Maintain safety standards, report safety issues, and handle hazardous materials according to standards.
  21. Maintain accurate equipment records and ensure work is satisfactorily completed.

The T-38 Aircraft Maintenance Technician may perform other related duties as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of T-38 aircraft systems, theory of flight, hydraulics, electrical systems, and servicing.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and manuals.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in T-38 safety and servicing procedures.
  • Knowledge of Air Force Technical Orders, supply procedures, and deficiency reporting.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional software.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to use general office equipment and follow processes.
  • Customer service skills, including active listening and prompt follow-up.
  • Ability to perform basic math and work independently.
  • Willingness to assist team members and multi-task effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of tactical aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD contracts and familiarity with depot level maintenance concepts.
  • FAA Airplane and/or Powerplant certification is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
