Aircraft Mechanic II (Airframes) - AV-8B Program - Cherry Point, NC

Position Overview:

Vertex Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II (Airframes) to support the AV-8B program at Cherry Point, NC. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft systems and components.

Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain and maintain necessary certifications such as Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI), Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR), and other relevant licenses.
  2. Test, troubleshoot, install, remove, inspect, and repair aircraft systems including:
  • Landing Gear System
  • Hydraulic Power Systems
  • Fuel Flow Proportioner Hydraulic System
  • Wheel Brakes and Anti-Skid Systems
  • Nose Wheel Steering Systems
  • Flight Control Systems
  • Speed Brake System
  • Flap Hydraulic Control System
  • Lift Improvement Device System
  • Fuselage and Wing Structure
  • Support and Special Equipment

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of aircraft ground handling and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to test, troubleshoot, install, remove, inspect, repair, and align/rig systems and components.
  • Adherence to applicable aircraft publications, diagrams, sketches, and drawings.
  • Use of applicable precision measuring equipment.
