Aircraft Mechanic Helper - DEA program - Fort Worth, Texas

This position involves assisting aircraft mechanics with servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and engines, as well as performing ground handling duties and aircraft cleaning. The role requires working in hangars and outdoor environments, following safety protocols, and supporting mission requirements, including outside normal hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Cleaning aircraft and parts using various cleaning solutions.
  2. Servicing aircraft systems such as oil, oxygen, nitrogen, and fueling.
  3. Operating ground support vehicles and repositioning aircraft.
  4. Assisting in aircraft maintenance tasks such as replacing parts and inspecting components.
  5. Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of aircraft servicing/maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical publications.
  • Valid driver's license; FAA certificates are a plus but not required.

Skills and Characteristics:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
  • Decision-making skills based on policies and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance and maintain valid travel documents.

Physical and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks.
