L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Associate Manager of Mechanical Engineering – Aircraft Mechanical Design in Waco, TX.

The role leads a small team focused on upgrading and modifying aircraft structures with 3D CAD tools, ensuring compliance with military and commercial standards and customer specifications. The position requires strong leadership, experience in aircraft structural design, and the ability to manage project plans, budgets, and staffing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering; 6+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Systems Engineering; 4+ years of design experience.
• In lieu of degree, 10+ years of mechanical design experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a mechanical engineering team (~8 members).
• Design and liaison of aircraft systems and structures using military/commercial standards and 3D CAD.
• Lead reviews of designs and documentation and interact with production for interpretation of drawings.
• Manage manpower estimates, schedules, budgets and performance reviews; support bids and overhead budgets.
