Job summary

Global Medical Response in Memphis, TN is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) for a full-time role at Med-Trans. The AMT will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and safety of the fleet, with qualification to support EC135, H130 and BK-117 airframes.

A strong focus on compliance, documentation and teamwork will be essential. Starting salary is $65,239–$94,567 per year with an IA stipend and a $12,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience.
  • Maintenance on EC135, H130, and BK-117 airframes.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license and state driver’s license.
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge and EMS systems familiarity.
  • Must live within an hour of the Memphis base and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, repairs and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks and update equipment tracking logs; place replacement requests and document expenditures.
  • Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies, ensuring information security standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Coordinate effectively with departments, vendors and team members to support operations.

We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our EC135, H130, and BK-117 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
  • Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • EC135, H130, and/or BK-117 maintenance experience
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid State issued Driver’s license
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
  • Must live within an hour of base
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
  • Related experience under CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience
