Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to maintain and safety-check our rotor-wing fleet in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on Leonardo 119 airframe maintenance and adherence to FAA regulations to ensure timely, high-quality patient transport services.

The ideal candidate has an A&P license, 3+ years of turbine helicopter maintenance, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and push 100 lbs. Compensation includes a signing bonus and relocation considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Leonardo 119 maintenance experience.
• 3+ years turbine helicopter maintenance with at least 6 months in last 24 months.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• State driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent knowledge of FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, repairs and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory and track parts expenditures.
• Document FAA information and maintain records per procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment for the maintenance team.
• Coordinate with departments, vendors and team members to ensure timely maintenance.
• Collaborate with allied health and flight operations staff.

• Starting Salary: $65,239 - $94,567 annually

We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Leonardo 119 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Leonardo 119 maintenance experience
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Must live within an hour of base
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
• Related experience under CFR Part 135
• Autopilot maintenance experience
• Avionics and electrical repair experience
