Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for our Minneapolis facility. This on-site, full-time role involves performing mechanical tasks, troubleshooting systems, inspections, and maintenance on civilian aircraft to ensure safety and reliability.

Requirements include an Airframe or Powerplant license (Airframe preferred), 0–6+ years in aviation maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license or passport.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license is preferred.
• 0-6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
• These technicians have limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects.
• Technicians require close supervision of general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/ taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
