Aircraft Maintenance Technician in GAC Van Nuys

The compensation range for this role is $30.38 - $35.44 per hour.

Final compensation will be determined by factors including qualifications, knowledge, skills, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) or FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Valid Driver’s License required.
Position Purpose: Under close supervision, perform or assist with aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key components to ensure proper operation. Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems.
• Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot aircraft components including airframes, engines, landing gear, electrical, and control systems.
• Coordinate with inspection to ensure FAA and internal compliance.
• Complete work orders, shift turnovers, and paperwork promptly.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Identify (tag) customer property and store aircraft components securely.
• Follow operating procedures and JSAs when using ground support equipment.
• Operate and oversee special support equipment for major components.
• Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repair of customer property.

Additional Functions:

• Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean work areas.
• Maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Coordinate aircraft movement as required.
• Maintain knowledge of FAA regulations, manuals, and company policies.

Other Requirements:
