Purpose of Position

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified Aircraft Maintenance Technician candidates for a Gulfstream 650 aircraft based in Stuart, FL (KSUA). This position is responsible for the welfare of passengers in all aspects of cabin safety and service. The technician must be trained and proficient in Abnormal and Emergency procedures, as well as in all areas of cabin systems and operations. This role supports a 2-pilot account with a dedicated Maintenance Technician and contract Flight Attendants, flying part 91. The Full Managed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) performs troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on aircraft and components, including dismantling, repairing, assembling machinery, and replacing electrical equipment. The AMT also inspects and maintains aircraft in a continuously airworthy condition according to Federal Air Regulations (FARs).

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Perform, oversee, and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, accessories, and other parts. Repair hangar, shop, and ground support equipment.
  • Conduct inspections using precision instruments, ensure calibration, and communicate findings with the Fleet Department. Comply with safety regulations and hazardous waste management at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Travel to airport locations for repairs on Aircraft on Ground (AOG) status or arrange repairs via outside vendors. Occasionally travel on the owner aircraft for test flights, troubleshooting, or at the owner’s request. Coordinate aircraft release with the Fleet Department.
  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming parts and components.
  • Ensure safety, security, and quality goals are met by adhering to the Safety Management System (SMS) and reporting safety, security, or quality issues.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
  • Ability to operate and taxi owner aircraft.
  • Ability to work on a lift platform 3 to 40 feet in the air.
  • Prolonged standing or sitting during repairs.
  • Proficiency with various tools including jacks, welders, torches, paint guns, sanders, and drill presses.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and maneuver items up to 125 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to learn and utilize technical manuals, with good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to perform repairs quickly in high-pressure situations.
  • Computer literacy for data entry and retrieval.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform receiving inspections to company standards.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools.
  • Preference for local candidates with Gulfstream experience.
Base Salary Range

Cabin Size

Small/Mid/Supermid: $80,000 - $225,000

Large/Heavy/Premium: $80,000 - $300,000
