Job Description:

This position performs aircraft maintenance on UPS fleet to meet or exceed airworthiness standards. Performs the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes. Conducts troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, engine, and structural components and systems. This position documents procedures per established processes to ensure regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and preventive maintenance of aircraft
  • Operate and maintain UPS equipment safely
  • Run, taxi, and tow aircraft for the purpose of maintenance and repositioning of aircraft as trained and qualified to do so
  • Determine airworthiness of aircraft and components, in accordance with established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulation
  • Complete aircraft maintenance forms entries and enter data into Maintenance Data Systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Service and inspect aircraft, components, and related equipment
  • Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance by properly completing turnover entries on unfinished maintenance in the turnover log
  • Follow all Maintenance Department policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Make recommendations to improve functions within the Maintenance Department
  • Attend UPS assigned training
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Maintenance Supervisor or the Director of Maintenance

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of three (3) years aircraft maintenance experience, including but not limited to experience with Boeing, Airbus, McDonnell Douglas aircraft, military jet aircraft, or regional/commuter aircraft
  • Knowledge of computer systems
  • Troubleshooting skills and ability to read and interpret Aircraft Manuals and Illustrated Parts Catalogues

FAA Required Drug Testing Information:

As part of the pre-employment process for a safety-sensitive position, a drug screen is required. A negative test result must be received before employment in a safety-sensitive role. Testing includes screening for various controlled substances as per 14 CFR regulations.

$30.13
