Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring an Area Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) in Redding, CA to oversee maintenance and safety of our EMS fleet. The AMT will service EC130 and AS350 airframes and coordinate with Lead Technicians and flight crews to ensure timely, high-quality patient transport.

The role requires 3+ years of turbine helicopter experience, an A&P license, and knowledge of FARs. Competitive pay includes stipends, a $12,500 sign-on bonus, and flexible/on-call scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years turbine powered helicopter experience.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Valid State issued Driver's license.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
  • Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary, and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
  • Sustain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Utilize appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors, and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow AMTs and the operations team.

  • Starting Salary: $78,287 - $113,480 annually (including 20% geo modifier)
  • Area Stipend: $6,000

We’re hiring an Area Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Reach Air Medical Services. This technician will be qualified to support our EC130 and AS350 airframes. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care, and customer service to patients.
